You can get to the sea on foot, by bike, or by car. You can park your car in the parking lot by the sea.

Užava Brewery - 1.5 km
Užava Beer is one of the tastiest beers in Latvia. The brewery has its own shop where you can purchase not only its excellent products, but also souvenirs and beer-related goods.

The mouth of the Užava River and the adjacent gray dune - 7.4 km
The mouth of the Užava River is one of the few places in Europe where you can see an unregulated river flowing into the sea. The vast, gray dune landscape, resembling a desert of pebbles, amazes everyone who sees it for the first time. Fields of pebbles several kilometers long and several hundred meters wide, where sand pink grows, while lichens form patterns of yellow, green, gray, and black lace not seen elsewhere in Latvia, as the pebble deserts around Užava are the only habitat for eleven species of lichen

The "Sail of Hope" memorial is dedicated to World War II refugees and those who helped them cross the Baltic Sea by boat to the island of Gotland in Sweden in 1944 and 1945. The monument is located in the Ošvalki dunes between the sea and the Ventspils–Liepāja highway

The Irbene Radio Telescope
RT-32 is a radio telescope at the Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Center, located in Irbene, Ance Parish, Ventspils Municipality. It is a 32-meter-diameter parabolic antenna that can be rotated in all directions, suitable for observations in the centimeter-wave range. The radio telescope is 47 meters tall, and its metal structure weighs 650 tons.

Jūrmala park
In Ventspils, not far from the sea, lies the spacious and well-maintained Jūrmala Park, which offers opportunities for relaxation and walks in the fresh air for the whole family.

46th Coastal Battery Fire Control Tower
As part of the "Latvia-Estonia Joint Military Heritage Tourism Product" project, the command post of the former Soviet Army's 46th Coastal Artillery Battery—a military heritage site featuring a fire control tower—has been restored, and the adjacent area has been landscaped.
This is the only tower of its kind in the Baltic states that has been restored.

''Reņķa'' garden
The garden got its name from one of the wealthiest families in Ventspils—the Reink family—in the late 19th century.
Reņķa Garden is the central venue for cultural events in Ventspils during the summer season, regularly hosting open-air dances, summer concerts, and festivals.

Būšnieku ezers
Lake is a glacial lake. It is located in the northern part of the city of Ventspils and was formed by the Venta River. Part of the lake's shoreline borders Ventspils County. It is situated in the Coastal Lowlands, 1.1 km from the Baltic Sea coast.

The ruins of Piltene Castle
Where the ruins of Piltene Castle now stand, the medieval Piltene Castle once stood. It served as the residence of the Bishop of Courland in Piltene, on the Venta River, from the 14th to the 18th century. It was the final residence of Magnus, the last Bishop of Courland and Livonian and the only King of Livonia. In Latvian, it was formerly known as the "Danish Castle."
